Day 17 More filming
Day 17 More filming
Filming resumes today on the Game of Thrones pilot. It seems likely, based on all the other scenes that have been shot already that they would be moving into the Paint Hall for these last few days of filming in Northern Ireland. Then it is on to Morocco. It sounds like Thursday will be the first day of filming in Morocco. Or at least, that is when GRRM plans to arrive.
As for the filming at Castle Ward, WiC reader kinnygraham was at the location yesterday and had this to report:
Yesterday (Sunday) I was able to go and visit Castle Ward (which is normally open to the public on most occasions anyway) and got very close to the set they had been using there and take some pictures (including one of the Stark symbol engraved in a wall mentioned as having taken GRRMs interest on his visit).
There was nobody around at all, other than other members of the public and there even were some props lying around (stuff like carts, one of which had been prepped for the addition of digital effects i.e. canvassed in green material with red motion capture dots).
Im sure it was a different story when the crew were around but like I say I was able to do this purely by exercising my rights as a member of the public.
It sounds like the set was still fully up, which might meaning they are filming there again today. Or it could just mean that the take down crew hadnt started yet. I was confused about what the cart with the green canvas and red dots was until mogons pointed out in the last thread that it was likely going to be digitally enhanced in post and become Cerseis wheelhouse! So that seems to confirm our speculation that they were filming the Kings arrival at Castle Ward.
If we get any more reports, Ill be sure to post them here.
